The 1.2 mm lip around the screen and 1.1 mm ridge around the camera lens are just enough to save your phone when it lands face-down on concrete or gets slid across a desk. The polycarbonate shell is thin enough that you'll forget it's there, but it still wraps around the edges properly instead of leaving corners exposed.
